Protecting Stucco Homes Nationwide…

Stucco Repair Contractors

Thank you for your interest in Moisture Warranty Corporation (MWC) and the MoistureFree Warranty, the only moisture warranty available nationwide. As a part of the solutions-driven approach we take when dealing with moisture issues surrounding stucco homes, MWC provides its customers with the names of repair contractors in their area who can repair and remediate stucco homes.

For a home to qualify for a MoistureFree Warranty, these steps must be taken, in the following order:

  1. An initial stucco inspection is completed according to the MWC Inspection Protocol.
  2. A Certified Repair Analysis (CRA) is prepared for the homeowner by our professionals at Moisture Warranty Corporation. If the inspection is meets MWC requirements a MoistureFree Warranty can be purchased right away. If items are found during the inspection that need to be repaired, then a CRA will be provided that lists the repairs required for the home to qualify for a warranty. MWC also provides a list of certified stucco repair contractors in the area. The homeowner selects a stucco  contractor and repairs are completed.
  3. Once repairs are done, a follow-up stucco moisture inspection is required. This inspection is provided by the moisture inspector to verify that the work specified in the CRA has been completed in accordance with the requirements for a MoistureFree Warranty. It is important to note that MWC does not certify repair contractors who are also in the business of moisture testing stucco systems as this would be a conflict of interest. For more information about becoming an MWC-certified repair contractor, call 1.800.400.8679.

Since the common objective for stucco repair contractors and MWC is to keep our customers’ stucco homes dry, MWC requires that stucco repair contractors back up their work with an 12-Month Repair Contractor Guarantee. This guarantee only applies to the actual repair that was made to the home and does not apply to any other area of the home that the certified repair contractor did not repair. The limited guarantee only requires the Certified Repair Contractor to modify the failing area to bring it up to warranty standards. If it is determined that the repaired area failed due to no fault of the repair contractor, MWC will be responsible for the cost of additional modifications based on the terms of the MoistureFree Warranty.
