Protecting Stucco Homes Nationwide…

Chicago – Naperville EIFS And Stucco Home Buyers And Sellers

on Dec 4, 2016 in EIFS & Stucco Problems and Fixes, Stucco News

MoistureFree Warranty spent months and thousands of dollars to be in compliance with the Illinois Department of Insurance. Chicago and Naperville Dryvit EIFS and Stucco home buyers and sellers beware of companies or individuals purporting to offer a stucco bond or a stucco warranty in the State of Illinois. There are absolutely no stucco bonds, and the only approved moisture warranty is the MoistureFree Warranty.

Schedule A Stucco Inspection

Some contractors will tell you they are offering a Dryvit or Stucco “bond” or a “warranty” when in reality they are offering a “guarantee” on their work. This guarantee is backed by the repair contractor on his work only – not the entire stucco system as is covered by the MoistureFree Warranty, and that guarantee only has the backing of the repair contractor who may not have the intent or capacity to back it up.  Plus, why should a stucco homeowner pay a repair contractor to guarantee his work? Shouldn’t this be something the stucco repair company offers as part of doing the work on a home? Others offer a “yearly stucco warranty or bond”, which they require yearly stucco inspections by their inspectors.  Can you see any conflict of interest with a stucco repair company inspecting their own “work or bond”?

The MoistureFree Warranty has the solid backing from a national, financially-strong company. Third party certified inspectors are required to perform stucco inspections when necessary.

Stucco Warranty Protection

The MoistureFree Warranty offers warranty protection of up to five years and $150,000, and is renewable and transferable to a new homeowner. Warranties can be renewed indefinitely upon re-certification.

Four Easy Steps To A Moisture Warranty Stucco Home Warranty

      1. Inspection

Have the home inspected using the Moisture Warranty Inspection Protocol by a MWC certified stucco inspector. We are happy to provide you with a list of certified inspectors in your area. If the home has had an inspection within the past 30 days that inspection may be mailed or emailed to Moisture Warranty Corporation at reports@moisturewarranty.com. It may not be faxed.

      2. Review & Recommendations

MWC can produce a Certified Repair Analysis to guide you through the repair process and will even provide you with a list of contractors in your area who are familiar with MWC repair standards. The inspection is reviewed by one of our specialists.

      3. Follow-Up Inspection

If repairs are needed, we require a follow-up inspection to verify that the work has been completed to MWC standards and that any previously high moisture readings have been eliminated.

      4. Warranty Issued ***We need a 30 day current inspection report to sell a warranty***

MWC issues a Warranty Authorization Certificate that warrants the home is dry and will remain dry during the term of the warranty. If moisture intrusion occurs because of the stucco, MWC will pay to get it dry based on the terms of the warranty. The homeowner can then place the “Protected By Moisture Warranty” yard sign in front of their home which acts as a seal of approval letting clients know the home is dry and protected by the nation’s premiere moisture warranty company.

      Thanks
      Brad

      Sincerely,
