Moisture Warranty Corporation provides this list of MWC Certified inspectors and contractors as a service to assist homeowners searching for a qualified inspector or contractor. If you select one of the names listed, it is important that you understand the following:
- In listing these inspectors and contractors, Moisture Warranty Corporation is NOT making a recommendation in favor of these companies and in no way guarantees or endorses the quality of their work.
- Moisture Warranty Corporation CAN NOT be held liable for work performed by these companies or problems arising from your choice to use one of the listed companies.
- Certified Inspectors and Contractors have passed an exam based on Moisture Warranty Corporations training program only. No other training or qualifications are required or implied.
- Moisture Warranty Corporation DOES NOT conduct any type of background check on any inspectors or
contractors.
- You should always request a written bid for worked performed by any contractor.
- In choosing any contractor, it is always prudent to check references from recent work that is similar to the work you intend to have completed by the contractor.
- It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check with organizations that may provide information on the contractor's business practices (i.e., the Better Business Bureau or any licensing authority the contractor works under).
- Always maintain a complete paper file of all transactions, conversations and reports, including dates and names. Photographs of the work in progress can also be useful in dispute resolutions.
