18-Month Certified Contractor Guarantee Agreement

Moisture Warranty Corporation provides warranties for homes that have been remediated to prevent moisture intrusion.  As a MWC-Certified Contractor, you are responsible for making repairs following the techniques outlined in the Moisture Warranty Certification Program.

A failure is defined as an area behind the EIFS with a moisture reading higher than 19% (using an electrical resistance meter).  If a failure occurs due to no fault of the Certified Contractor, MWC will pay for modifications to the area based on the limits and terms of the MoistureFree Warranty.

As a condition of becoming a Certified Contractor for Moisture Warranty Corporation, the Certified Contractor agrees to provide an 18-month guarantee on all work performed on homes with a MoistureFree Warranty enforce. This guarantee is specific to the areas remediated;no other areas of the home are guaranteed by the Certified Contractor.  Specifically, if repairs made by the repair contractor fail to prevent moisture from entering into or behind the cladding system, the Certified Contractor agrees to make additional repairs and extend the guarantee on those improved repairs for an additional 18 months.  The effective date of the Certified Contractor guarantee will be the date that the MoistureFree Warranty was issued on the home.

This guarantee is made between Moisture Warranty Corporation and the Certified Contractor. Itapplies to the property to which repairs were made and is applicable and enforceable for any current or future homeowner of the property during the term of the MoistureFree Warranty.
